Croner-i CHEM-BANK is a comprehensive online service providing a searchable substances database to help with the identification of hazards at all stages of the supply chain from manufacture, to transportation, handling and use.

A subscription to Croner-i CHEM-BANK provides the information to assist in migrating the risks to health and the environment and can be used to compile data sheets, and there is also legislative and compliance information, best practice and more. Updated regularly you can be confident you have all the information you need 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A subscription includes access to key complementary databanks:

  • RTECS - containing identification and toxicity data on over 165,000 chemicals.
  • HSDB - comprehensive information on over 5,000 hazardous chemicals including significant data from the US National Library of Medicine.
  • TSCA - information on more than 65,000 chemicals manufactured in, or imported into, the US commercially.
  • OHMTADS - containing data on over 1,400 materials designated as oil or hazardous materials.

    New! LINKS REPOSITORY - with maintained links to the following:

  • EPA's IRIS - inhalation reference concentrations for chronic non-carcinogenic health effects for over 500 chemicals and more
  • NIOSH Pocket Guide - general industrial hygiene information, containing data for 677 chemicals or substance groupings found in the work environment
  • WHO's ICSC - produced in a collaboration with the International Labour Organization and support of the European Commission, the International Chemical Safety Cards (ICSC) provide essential health and safety information on chemicals to promote their safe use and are written according to a system of standardized phrases

  • New Jersey Hazardous Substance Fact Sheets (NJHSFS) - a repository of more than 1600 factsheets on pure substances and containing information on health hazards, exposure limits, personal protective equipment, proper handling, first aid, and emergency procedures for fires and spills.
